Day 1: Depart the USA

Depart the USA on an international flight to Tel Aviv.

Day 2: Arrive in Tel Aviv

Arrive in Tel Aviv, and after being met by our local guide, we board our bus on our way to our hotel in Tel Aviv.  Dinner and overnight in Tel Aviv.

Day 3: Caesarea Maritima, Stella Maris, Nazareth, Cana of Galilee, Tiberias

After a buffet breakfast, we start our day with a visit to Caesarea Maritima where we will see Roman and Byzantine ruins and consider the conversion of Cornelius, we will also consider the imprisonment of St. Paul here.  After that we will visit Stella Maris and consider the contest miracles that the prophet Elijah had against the prophets of Baal. Our next stop will be Nazareth where we will visit the Church of the Annunciation where the Angel Announced the Birth of Jesus to the Blessed Virgin Mary.  Next we will visit Cana of Galilee where Jesus performed His First Miracle of turning water to wine (couples will have the chance to renew their wedding vows).  We continue to the Sea of Galilee to check into our hotel.  Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.

Day 4: Mount of Beatitudes, Tabgha, St. Peter’s Primacy, Caperneum, Magdala, Boat Ride, Tiberias

After a buffet breakfast, we start our day with a visit to the Mount of Beatitudes where the Lord taught the Sermon on the Mount.  We will then visit Tabgha where the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and the Fish is. Then we will continue to St. Peter’s Primacy where The Lord appeared to the Disciples the third time after the Resurrection.  Our next stop will be Caperneum which was the base of the Lord’s Galilean Ministry.  Magdala, the hometown of St. Mary Magdalene will be next where we will see the ruins of the synagogue that Jesus could have taught in and other ruins of the city.  We will then end our day with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee.  Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.

Day 5: Mount Tabor, Jericho, Jordan River, Old Roman Road (St. George’s Monastery), Jerusalem

After a buffet breakfast, we leave on route to Jerusalem.  Our first stop will be Mount Tabor where Jesus was transfigured.  We will then drive along the Jordan Valley road to Jericho, one of the oldest cities in the world and where Jesus met Zacchaeus, we will also view the Mount of Temptation.  We then will visit the Jordan River where St. John the Baptist was baptizing.  Our next stop will be the Old Roman road that people took to go up to Jerusalem and view St. George’s monastery.  We will then ascend to the Holy city of Jerusalem.  Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 6: Mount of Olives, Pater Noster, Dominus Flevit, Gethsemani, Shepherds Fields, Bethlehem, Jerusalem

After a buffet breakfast, we start our day with a visit to the Mount Olives.  We will begin at the Church of the Pater Noster where the Lord taught the Lord’s Prayer and where we will see the prayer on the wall in over 160 languages.  We will then stop for an orientation of the Holy City from the top of the mountain before we descend on the Palm Sunday road to the Church of the Dominus Flevit where Jesus wept over Jerusalem.  We will then continue walking on that road to the Garden of Gethsemani where Jesus was arrested (private time will be allowed in the garden).  We will then visit Shepherds Fields where the angels announced the Birth of Jesus to the shepherds.  The Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem where the Lord was born will be the next place that we will visit.  Time will be allowed to shop in Bethlehem.  Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 7: St. Ann’s Church, pools of Bethesda, Upper Room, Dormition Abbey, En Karem, Israel Museum, Jerusalem

After a buffet breakfast, we begin our day with a visit to the pools of Bethesda where Jesus healed the crippled man, and where the Blessed Virgin Mary was born (chance to sing a song in the church).  We will then visit the Upper Room where Jesus had His Last Supper and where the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles.  We then will visit the Dormition Abbey where the Blessed Virgin is remembered to be assumed into Heaven. We will continue to En Karem, the hometown of St. John the Baptist and the Church of the Visitation where the Blessed Virgin visited Her cousin St. Elizabeth.  We will end the day with a visit to the Israel Museum where the Dead Sea Scrolls are on exhibit and where the Second Tempe Period model of Jerusalem is displayed.  Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 8: Bethany, Masada, Qumran, Dead Sea, Jerusalem

After a buffet breakfast, we will visit Bethany, the hometown of Lazarus and his sisters. We then will drive to Masada, a UNESCO world heritage site and consider the standoff between the zealots and the Roman on top of that fortress that was built by King Herod the Great. We will then visit Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls where discovered by a Bedouin in 1947.  We will end our day with a chance to float in the Dead Sea, the lowest spot on earth.  Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 9: St. Peter in Galicantu, Via Dolorosa, Ecce Homo Convent, Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Jerusalem

After a buffet breakfast, we begin our day with a visit to the Church of St. Peter in Galicantu, the house of Caiaphas the High Priest where Jesus was taken after He was arrested at the Garden of Gethsemani and where St. Peter denied the Lord three times.  We will then walk the Stations of the Cross and remember the suffering of the Lord, stopping at the Ecce Homo Convent where the Judgement Hall is located.  We will continue to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher where Jesus was crucified, buried, and resurrected.  The rest of the day will be for you to spend it as you please in the city of Jerusalem, suggestions will be made.  Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 10: Flight back to the USA

Today we will board and international flight back to the USA with unforgettable memories.
